Kirklin is a historic community, established in the mid-1800s. Because of its strategic location, less than 20 miles north of Zionsville on Indiana’s busy, historic Michigan Road, i.e., U.S. Highway 421, Kirklin is well situated to transform itself as a highly desirable destination for weekend outings.
Over the past few years, Kirklin has enjoyed unprecedented rebirth and rejuvenation. To maximize the possibilities of its growth, a newly formed Main Street organization is overseeing a vigorous effort to improve the town’s aesthetic appeal, including new sidewalks, coordinated enhancement of commercial signage and facades, environmental beautification, community events, and marketing.
